Prior to UCSF, he began his Ph.D. program in Paris 6 University in the Thoracic Oncology Lab in Tenon Hospital (ER2 GRC04), where he studied the new molecular factors of resistance to cisplatin in non-small cell lung cancer.
He has obtained a M.D. in pulmonology, with a specialization in thoracic oncology in 2009. He worked as a clinical fellow in the Respiratory Diseases and Thoracic Oncology Department in Ambroise Pare Hospital (Versailles-Saint Quentin en Yvelines University) from 2009 to 2011.
